Hi gang, does anyone have one. I know it's sold thru the canteen shop as an exclusive,( not on the bhk site).

The BHK Woodscrafter picture

Here are the specs.
Made of 01 Tool Steel the Woodcrafter is a 4" Scandi ground blade that is 1/8" inches thick. This gives you maximum strength for batoning and chopping, along with the ability to do delicate carving and slicing. It also has a sharp back edge perfect for biting a Firesteel and showering sparks for fire starting. The grip is 4.5" inches

The woodsman pro specs
8.75 inches long, with a 4 inch cutting edge and a 4.75 inch handle. The steel is 5/32" O1 tool steel
Any reviews?

How is it compared to thethe woodsman pro? is the only difference the thickness and handle shape? And if so which thickness do you all prefer?

Any pics side by side?

Thanks guys

I don't have the Woodsman pro but I did get the Woodcrafter about 2 months ago. I have been taking pics and working on a review, but the bottom line is the Woodcrafter is in my top 5 favorite knives I've ever used. I immediately liked the overall look of it, especially the broad point. Once I got it in hand it just felt right, it's one of those knives you just grab onto and say, yep that's a keeper! I've used it quite a bit in the kitchen and in splitting kindling for the fireplace. I've also taken it on several hikes and used it side by side with similar sized knives for comparison. Pics are on my camera but I will try and get them uploaded this week.

Looking forward to following this thread. I need another knife li,e another hole in my head....yet I've been eyeing one and keep putting off pulling the trigger. This may push me off the fence.

I have the Woodsman Pro and love the blade shape. I wish it had the same handledesign as the Woodcrafter though. First thing I did to the WP was sand down the first 1" of sharp spine. The spine would hurt my hands and finger when using the blade. Does the Woodcrafter had a squared spine?

looks nice i really love my boattail scandi its my edc

What is the grind on the woodsman pro?
The woodsman is a pure scandi?

The Woodsman pro has a saber grind and the Woodcrafter has a full Scandi but I want to say the final edge might be convexed, it's hard to tell.
