They said July just a couple weeks ago. That is why I passed on the 52100. There only a couple of Spydies I need this year and this is one of them. Woot woot!
 
In the other thread that we have had going for a while now about this knife BHQ commented two weeks ago that they would be coming in July. At that same time they promised to alert us of the knifes release three days in advance on this very forum. They then reiterated it again after somebody commented. Just check that thread and this subforum daily and you should have plenty of time to prepare.
 
Hey man, thanks for posting the eye candy though. That pic makes me drool a little and I think my pants are getting tighter. :D
 
I'm so curious to see how this all unfolds. Gonna be a lot of disappointed people either way, but as long as BHQ doesn't drop the ball, can't blame the feeding frenzy on them.
Still clinging to the hope that there will be at least somewhat of a heads up here on the forums... Like, "next couple of days" heads up
 
The promised a heads up here before it goes public.

It won't be tomorrow I'm guess. Bummer that 3 days this week I have travel and one day stuffed with meetings.
 
Sal needs to make this one a regular offering! It may outsell the Blurple...

Do you guys have a link where they said we'd get a heads-up?

Agree with Rasco that this will get interesting.
 
Several of the recent Spyderco releases have come in "waves". Retailers will receive a batch, put them up for sale in the morning, and then in a few hours that batch is sold. Some days later they receive another batch, put them up for sale, they sell, quickly, etc. So if you aren't on the internet morning or mid-day you miss out.

Or they could realize that they have ordered a certain number, and they put those up for sale until they sell out. Then they ship them when they receive them. I think if they do that they will sell out within the business day, and for a big part of that day the internet will be overloaded and their website will be crippled.
