If you're familiar with the Svord, I'm wondering how this fits in to the law about needing a Bias Towards Closure.
Considering it's just essentially a pivot, and the opening/closing force is determined by the friction of the handles. I know you can adjust this tension with two screws on either end of the handles, to where it can take much force from both hands to open. There is no mechanism to give it this bias, so I take it the Svord falls outside this law, even though it can take so much force to open?
I'm not sure exactly how that law works in practice...
