Bolo-inspired Battle Blade from the Extravaganzaaaaaa.

To tell the truth, I thought from the pictures that this thing was going to be butt-ugly. That changed immediately when I opened the package. The coating is much more attractive than the pictures would lead you to believe. Knife is not quite as big as I expected, nor as blade-heavy. Really a very nicely balanced knife. Should be a good chopper out of proportion to it's size., but it is certainly not just a chopper.

I am very pleased with this knife. It is a keeper.

Pics!Pics!Pics!Pics!Pics! Congrats Mike. How does the handle feel? It looks awfully comfortable.

Here'sthe pics.

hey Mike, the second pic is not you...I have seen her before with a 3finger knife...you holdin out...? good blade and nice to see a friendly face modeling it...

Mine arrived today too--caught it at lunch. Not quite what I was expecting either, but I agree it's a very nice knife and should serve well in a variety of tasks. If I could change anything on it, I would make the handle scales thicker--more like the EU-17. However, I don't find this handle uncomfortable, and in gloves it'll probably feel about right.

Jublix: That is Kim, 24 year old daughter, likely heir to my Busse collection, and 5'0" of the toughest individual I have ever met.

Remember Terry Schiavo? Three years ago Kim was lying in a similar "permanent vegetative state" after a hit and run that left her with a severe head injury, body busted up, and brain stem damage. (See the trach scar?) Today she gets around on a walker pretty well, and has very limited speech capabilities. These things we were also told she would never have. Doctors keep saying she can't, and she just keeps on proving she can. Her attitude makes Norman Vincent Peale look manic depressive.

Mike,
Glad you are happy with the blade. :)

Great to see Kim again. It's an inspiration to me everytime I see her smiling face. Be sure to tell her the shop guys said Hello.

Congrats at the nice knife. I'm sure this will be a good user:thumbup:

Thanks for sharing the pics, Mike. Both are beautiful.

You made Kim hold that BUTT ugly blade, didn't ya? You should be ashamed!!
You should hang your head. You should send the blade to me;)

Tell Kim I said hi. Let her know she can model any of my beautiful tan blades anytime.

We are going to see her at BLADE, right?

God bless

This could be an INFI kind of week...... My Bolo arrived also... and maybe the Hell Razor isn't far behind!

THANKS to all of you at Busse !!!!

Yep, got my BIBB today as well. I had to run home over lunch just to fondle it!

I agreed that the knife was better balanced than I expected... Not at all a dedicated chopper-only! Happy, happy!

MikeH - You picked the perfect lovely, young lady to model that blade! Congrats on a wonderful daughter!

Sorry, but the 6-8wks delivery didn't start the day you ordered it, but instead starts after they are no longer offered for sale on the Busse website.

:(

I don't know... I got the impression that they are doing things a bit differently this time. I ordered my Hell Razor on 1/31 (Tan/Blk Mag) and got the call yesterday from Kassi (2/26) that it was completed and ready to ship.

A wrinkle in the Busse time continuum or was it just the roses I sent to Kassi?? :D

Great looking knife, and your daughter is an inspiration to us, too. God Bless & Thanks, MikeH!

I gotta agree with MikeH on saying that the Bolo looks alot better in that pic then I thought. Of course his daughter holding it certainly doesn't hurt. Congrats on the new blade. :D
