My folks had this 1950's, worn, coverless bible for years.
I've had it for years.
Finally decided to remove the tape repair on the binding and to use my tape binding machine in the studio.
That's when I realized a new cover would be a great leather project and I'd have a super Christmas gift for my niece.
There is black card stock bound onto the bible and that card fits into a pocket that I made on the inside of the cover. Much like a book jacket, but closed on the top and bottom as well.
I wanted the cover to look as old as the inside... in hindsight the gloss finish could've been matte, but it's done now!
Thanks for looking
