Thinking about buying a Big agnes tent. Lynx pass 4 is the model Im looking at. It will be a camping tent, not for hiking. Needs to fit 3 adults. 3 season tent. Must be very good at standing up to storms!!! I always get rained on at least once. Any thoughts, ideas?

not bad tents. look for the reviews. with large bulky tents like that keep it for car camping only. if you had to haul that beast around you will only do it once. they seem to be well built.. now if you are talking high wind storms, remember, if you know where the storms and wind direction place your tent where the broad side is not facing the full force of the wind. thats a basic rule for all tents.

It will be in the trailer for motorcycle trips, we camp when we go. Hence weight not being an issue, comfort is more important

Coleman has come out with some really cool large tents. You may want to check them out.

I have the Big Agnes Emerald Mountain 2, and love it. Find it very user friendly and has always kept me dry. I bought the add on vestibule for storage and dog sleeping quarters. Bottom line I'm quite happy with it.

take care of it and keep it very dry before you store it and it will last years.. oh and sand, a tent's second worse enemy

i have a north face kestrel tent i bought 10+ yrs and it works as well as the day i bought it. it rec'd 2 inches of rain in 2hrs this past weekend and dry as a bone on the inside. very nice
