I prefer eB*y over Am*zon. I’m not Prime.

So…. The last 3-4 items I bought on the Bay were delivered by either the US Postal service or Amazon drivers. But all those orders were fulfilled by Amazon! Does one now work with the other? Can anyone give me some insight?

I ordered a new cordless drill on the 23 and I just know it’s being fulfilled by Amazon because it’s taking so long to ship.

Help?

I have bought stuff on both Ebay and Amazon that were fulfilled by Walmart and/or Costco. I have had Amazon delivered by a variety of delivery services including a locally owned delivery company. Don't know if this helps, but it tells me that there is some brokering going on.
 
So sometimes when a seller sells an item, it is something they don't actually have in hand, but as soon as the sale comes through they order the item using a special discount, coupon, gift card, etc. from Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, etc. and they then have the vendor drop ship it to you directly. I've purchased some items on eBay that came that way before and when I asked the seller about it, this was what they explained to me. So if someone has a gift card, this is a way to monetize that.
 
So I have an update on EBay and 3rd party….

I recently ordered a hammer drill. I waited a week and it wasn’t “shipped”. I messaged the seller through eBay and within 20 seconds it was marked as “shipped”. I found it odd that there was no tracking number posted. I waited a couple days and still no tracking. I then hit the “I never received item” and stated the above and no tracking provided. I was immediately refunded 100%.
