I have the micarta scales for my 16 and 2 and am very happy with them. Recently got a sweet deal on a 5 and a 4 and am considering my scales options. I'm sure the grivory is great and have rarely heard any complaints, but like so many of you I really enjoy personalizing these amazing knives.

I'd love to make my own wood scales some day but just do not have the equipment to do it. I am still a young transient with no shop to call my own :grumpy:.

Anybody have good success stories on buying wood scales? a quick ebay search found me tmil2009 who does scales for the whole range of beckers and has positive feedback.

Would love to read about and see all the different routes folks have gone on to personalize the famous Becker handle design!
 
Stippled my Grivory, made my own from mycarta, and made my own from wood.
Doesn't take a lot of tool, but the fewer you have the more sanding you'll need to do!

If I were looking for premade wood scales, Tommythewho would be my source.

All my becker sports tommy walnut scales,love them.i have an extra pair laying around if you re intersted to try.pm if you want to trade or buy.
