Big Bowie

Made some small adjustments to a recent Bowie design I made and did a better job with the convexed edge too This one came out a little bigger as I had the available steel in the piece I picked up I used some black linen Micarta for the scales on this one. It is 17 1/4in overall with an 11 3/4in blade tip to handle. Weight is about 23oz. For it's size it really feels nice in the hand.

Wow; it looks like it would deliver a devastating backcut, yet be perfect for most (kitchen)food prep!
Great length, and not really overly heavy considering how big it is. Is this 5160 steel or something else?

Yes this is my usual 5160. 1/4in thick stock at the spine.
