Hey guys....I took a bit of a break for awhile....too much stuff to do around the house....but I needed to make a Bowie...I was getting stir crazy.
A few months back I pressed out a 140 layer billet of O1 and L6....I used an end of it for a small knife for a friend....but I wasnt sure I had enough for a Bowie. So i set about some extensive squeezing back an forth to get a big blade.
I purposely left the etch dark on the Damascus.
It's 10" long in the blade...1/4" thick spine...with wrought iron for the guard and ferrule. The handle is a sweet piece of Sambar that I picked up last year at the ABS event here in Troy.
