Big Box O' Knives GAW - Round 61

And here we go again!

There are a lot of nice knives in here and it was more difficult than I thought to make my decisions. I had to cut myself off before paralysis set in. There are a couple of Bucks that are particularly nice, but just not my thing.

Here's the knives I received:

I swapped a RR Bone Stag Swayback for the RR Bone Stag Barlow. I flipped a coin when I originally bought the Swayback and the Barlow lost. Now that I can see them both together, I found I like the Barlow better. The red Case Peanut is now a black Case Tiny Toothpick and the Schrade Whittler is now a Queen Canoe. I also swapped the SAK Recruit for a Bantam that I re-covered with Olivewood.


I will let this run until Sunday evening 10/16/22 @ 9:00 pm CDT. I can ship out Monday if receive the shipping info before Monday noon-ish. As before, lower 48 please.

My wife is soooo happy. Seeing all those knives spread out on 'her' coffee table for a whole week was almost too much for her. :rolleyes:

The box arrived.

There is an amazing selection. There are some knives in here that I have been wanting to handle, and others that I never considered before that are calling to me.

Now I have to go through my existing collection and see what would make a good swap.
 
I am finally getting to photos.
When I was opening the box, I felt like a little boy at Christmas.

After a lot of work, I cut what I took down to:

I don't have a nice fixed blade and this one is stunning.
I also have never had an alox swiss army knife and this one looks like it might become a daily carry.
I also removed the Queen Canoe because it has a significant wobble and I'm going to try and fix it.

I added some Gentlemanly carry options:
An Al Mar (Seki Japan) hawk (at least I think a hawk)
A Camillus trapper, because the box didn't have any trappers
A nice bone whittler, because it needs someone to use it. It appears to be a safe queen.
