I'll trade you a new Izula for that M1 carbine! :D

had an m1 with a mix of rockola(mispelled i know) and singer parts......long time ago...got rid of it before i was educated enough to know what i had.....with age i have regreted a shitload of mistakes i made when i was younger....this is just one on the list i wish i still had...

I would love to have a Garand or M1A as well -- AR's are OK, but they have a few features that make me twitch - shoot nice, though.

The M1 Carbine is one of my "grail" weapons. I absolutely love those things. I keep trying to get one, but the money never works out at the same time as availability. Drives me nuts. I once tried to trade a guy my HK91 for one and he turned it down. I was like, "are you crazy?! This is a genuine, all numbers matching, perfect HK91 with scope mount and everything. Why the hell wouldn't you trade?" He said, "why do you want to?" He had me there.

I lost both my grandfathers garands in the longgun raffles. Pissed me off. got a nice 11-48, and a few Ithaca doubles in the deal.... but I want those garands.... I've got shotguns out the ass.... I've yet to get a good rifle.

Many years ago the Department of Civilian Marksmanship sold Garands for $95.00 to anyone who would shoot a scored round at one of their events. They held many around the U.S. to allow people to pick up a Garand. I was lucky enough to participate in an event in Mississippi. I bought the Carbine from a friend years later so that I would have the pair.

nice rifles and knives, I had a mini14 and 10/22 that where like dad and son, looked identical, wish I could find a garand around here!

Nice! I wouldnt mind having either, although I've heard some not so great things about the .30 carbine's stopping power.
