Thank you sir. That was kind of by accident. I am still at the point where it doesn't do me any good to draw out detailed designs because I generally have a veru basic idea of what I want the knife to look like, but the process is rather fluid for lack of a better term...lol. The blade started off a hair wider and had a little bit of a belly, but I decided when rough grinding that I wanted a straight edge and a more "dropped" point kind of like some of John Smith or Matt Lamey's bowies. The side effect was that the choil was less rounded and, to my eye, looks a little more like one you would see on one of Don Hanson's knives. I'm still working on the whole fit and finish perfection thingie, but the big knife is like a 10+ inch straight razor!:thumbup: I can shave little curls of notebook paper all day long with it. I should have shot the smaller one from the other side. It has that same "amber popcorn" effect on the top and the other side. You can see a little of it in that picture.I prefer the less rounded choil, and really like that big knife.
