Hey folks,
Here's what is probably the biggest knife I've made. Forged from 1-1/2" round stock. It's a beast!

Steel: Carpenter L6

Blade length: 11-1/2"

Total length: 17-3/4"

Blade thickness: 5/16" at ricasso

Handle material: black micarta

Thanks for looking, and comments are welcome.

WOW!! That is a serious chopper. I like it, but would LOVE it if it had wood for handle scales.

Looks real good phillip, love the blade shape. it has a nice flow to it. how was it forging do that 1.5 L6 :D I have been hand forging some 1" crucible L6 and its not to bad. its harder then my 5160 but not bad.

nice one Phillip:thumbup::cool:

Dude,

That is some serious steel. One of the very best working knives I have seen, love your quasi-brend styling.

very cool, looks like it would be very comfortable to cut with. Is it hollow or flat ground? Hows the edge profile/geometry/thickness etc..??

great looking knife in every way.
