I've often reasoned that carrying my 110 while hiking here in East Texas made sense just in case I ever had to stare down a varmit. After seeing this photo, I'm rethinking that. :eek:

The e-mail said this was hit by a car near Sour Lake, Tx. I'm skeptical.

I saw these photos some time back as well, but was then told they were digitally enhanced, which is easily done these days, so who knows.
 
I heard that lion meat is very good on the table. It sure bugs me to think I am eating a cat though. NO problem whatsoever shooting one though..

WHAT!! I hit that cat right here in WI... Right on Hwy 47!!!!!!! ;) LOL

I suppose the 110 would be better than nothing, but it probably wouldnt help a whole lot! Maybe a 651 Pig sticker.... ;)
 
I ate some farm raised lion at a fancy restaurant in Denver several years ago. It was after several Scotches and it sure didn't taste like chicken!
 
My poor Kitty! I have been looking for him for days since he jumped the fence.
