Damm Mike, that is one scary looking knife. Nice lines. I like the handle too. Looks like a winner!

Nice! I have some more 1/4" O-1 and loved the first huge hunk I worked with. The stuff practically air hardens! Will you have this at the hammerin, or is it going to be gone before that?

thanks guys i appreciate the compliments

the temperline was just done by dipping the blade partially. no clay or anything
then i etch in a 4 to 1 water to ferric chloride mix. go about 10 minutes at a shot, take it out and clean it down with some 0000 steel wool with baking soda on it. i did that about 3 times.

this one is already gone guys. it won't make it to this hammer-in unfortunately.
thanks again.

This is one great knife. I was lucky enough to get my hands on it while Tess was making the sheath and I gotta tell you Mikey nailed this one. It looks like you'd need a forklift to haul the thing but, it's light, quick and comfortable in hand. Everyone needs to watch ole' Hammerhead here. He's going to be one of the big boys down the road.

Mike-Rich was very impressed.

Yes I am very pleased. The knife is everything I hoped it would be and then some. For the size it is amazing how light and balanced it is. I cannot wait to go out and give it a work out. The only problem is there are not any trees around my house that are big enough to use it on. I should have had J run it through it's paces while I was up at his shop today. Thanks again Mike for the work you put into this knife.

Thats a dandy, to bad you don't live close to here, I have a couple acres that need clearing :D . Nice job by both makers  .
