Big dagger folder?

I'm looking for a "combat" folder. Why? Just to have one, I guess. I don't typically look for a weapon when looking for a new knife, but for some reason, I think my collection needs one. All I ask is that it is big and has a dagger blade. Like.... we're talking a minimum blade length of 4 inches here. Hopefully my only option isn't that Gerber Applegate folder.

Sog pentagon elite. I think thats the name. Very daggerish folder, awesome lock and fast deployment. The back edge is sharpened about 1/2 inch up the spine. Looks really cool. Good for piercing.

the greatest thing about the a/f folder is that it's probably the only
production spear point linerlock which has a handle design
that completely encases the blade for safe carry
and that alone is a huge plus,
should one ever decide upon engaging a professional to sharpen the false edge.

I second the DDR/HTM Maxx.

+1 on this

It's not a dagger, but have you considered the cold steel rajah series? If size is what you want I think they win.

I recently picked up the Gerber A/F Combat Folder 15th anniversary like posted above. It's an awesome knife for the price, and well worth a look. They can be had @ around $130 +/- a few bucks. This is coming from a knife snob, so don't just discount it because of the Gerber name. Probably one of the last really great designs coming out of the Gerber company, plus it's USA-made with S30V and Micarta.

Sure, if you can afford an HTM from Darryl, you'd not be disappointed, but that's a lot of cash.

Another one to consider is the Protech Godfather/Godson knives. Not double-edged, but definitely dagger shaped. Can be had for under 2 Benjamins. The Godfather is obviously the larger of the two, and right at 4" blade.

If you're not looking to spend a ton of cash, may I suggest the Cold Steel Ti-Lite? Six inch blade, pretty monstrous in hand.

I used to have a Camillis Cuda Max. I never should have sold it, what was I thinking?

That Gerber actually looks good to me, something must be wrong....

Sog Pentagon elite 2-- 5" blade. CS recon1 co--5.5" blade

Oh my God, too many choices. 6 inch ti lite... Gerber Applegate... Protech Godfather...

And the Counterpoint XL is expected sometime this year? I can't just have one... poor house, here I come!

Thanks for the recommendations, guys.
