Big DC finish?

What exactly is Big DC finish? Is it a coating? This may have been covered multiple times, so forgive me if it has and point me to the information. When you seek knowledge go to those who poccess it.

It stands for Busse Industrial Grade Double Cut. I think basically it's a bead blasted matte finish.

I like DC the best. It's smooth but not shiney. I ordered matching park ranger and flak jacket in DC with green canvas.

From Jerry's post on the Park Ranger when it was first offered:
"The BIG DC Finish will be hand ground along the outer perimeter and will have light machine marks visible through the Double Cut finish."

Murman and I are on the same page, I ordered the same set he did and a HOGB8 with BIG-DC. Can't wait to see it in person!

Thank you for your responses. Just one other thing. Is there any advantage to a DC finish over satin for corrosion resistance?

No. Satin would be more rust resistant. I wouldn't worry about serious rusting with INFI, but there's a higher chance you'll get some spotting on a stored blade if it's DC
