I just recently got a "Boker 2051 CPM S30V Plain Knife Titanium Handle 112051" off eBay for $75. That's a good price bacause I've got the latest Boker Catalog and the MSRP is $130. This folder is a lockback with S30V blade and titanium handles. I received it and initially was happy until I looked at it closer. FIRSTLY, the blade (the actual sharpened adge) has a flat spot on it from where it can hit or "bottom out" when closed and this causes the edge to bump into the inside spine of the knife knocking the edge flat. Secondly, it's somewhat hard to open and has somewhat rough action and because it isn't held together with screws, I can't take it apart to loosen and/or lube. And thirdly, the finish of the titanium handles is really rough. I'm not happy at all with this Boker. IT SUCKS.

Have you tried contacting Boker? They have good customer service based on my experience dealing with them.

The action might smooth out and the finish could be intentional to aid grip retention. The blade hitting the handle alone would make me contact Boker though, no quality knife should do that.

Isn't that one S60V?

Thanks for the report.I've been eyeing that same one for some time now.The lowest price I've seen was around $95.00

As you can see in the pic is S60V. Mine it was ~90 Eur, so 75$ is a good price

i'm afraid i'm done with boker. if it's not poor quality control, or too high price for what you get, you never know where the dang things will be made. I remember when boker was made in germany and that was it. seems boker has become like a lot of things today you may get a good one or you may get a piece of junk you never can tell. i would definitely contact them and give them a chance to make it right that will tell what kind of company they are.

The one in the picture looks like it says S60V but the one in the catalog and the one that I bought say S30V but other than that, they all look identical. When I searched for this knife all I could find were the S30V versions. ALSO, I forgot to mention that another thing about the knife that I'm not crazy about is that when it's closed, the tip/point is JUST BARELY concealed in between the handles. If I was to rub it against a sweater or something it would undoubtedly catch and pull it. I feel bad about complaining about this knife but it's just disappointing.

But then again. This is internet buying, sometimes you don't get what you hoped for.

Happend to me with a BM 690. Was disapointed when I opened the package, wasn't getting more happy using it.

Yes it's S60V.I've seen this one a lot searching ebay for S60V.I seen another too same design with cocobolo handles.
It's a shame you got a lemon:thumbdn:

Hope they make it right for you.

Take care,

When you get it off Ebay youre sorta taken your chances. Maybe the person got it as factory second, or took it apart and played with it or its a fake? While I've seen some Bokers I wasnt thrilled with, I'm not sure its there QC problems when they cant ensure it came directly from them...

I'm sure it's not a fake. It came in a Boker box, with Boker papers and the knife looks totally legit. A Factory Second? Well, I guess that could be possible.

Looks a lot like the one I just bought for about $15 (but mine's a "magnum" - I know, made in China)

I am happy with their "mammoth micarta" I bought for about $15.

. . . for about $15.
Say what? (Well, they are both locking folding knives and have an edge and a point. Other than that . . . . .)

(Ashully, the blade reminds me of something BlackJack made back in the day -"Mini Momba" perhaps.)
