I just purchased my first Infi and I've been lurking and learning a lot pre and post purchase.

I've seen some nice pics of big choppers with drop points but nothing with a straight handle or that is not a custom shop item. The ones I'm talking about are the Battle Heart, Custom SHBM, FSH varients, etc.

Has there ever been a Busse Combat run of of something with a blade like the Argonne Assault, but with a plain straight handle? Almost like the top knife shown in the BBSHSH thread.

Just curious. Looking forward to feeding the addiction. I think I may have a second on the way soon...:D

Thanks.

Big drop points or big point drops? If the latter, check out the stock market in the last 3 days. ;)

I too have no definate answer, however in the mean time, sit down and let me pour you a nice cup o' Kool-Aid  Welcome to the lifestyle

Sounds like maybe one of the FBM protos???? But they were custom shop so......

Hi M4Super90,

If I read your post right, I think there may be some mixed terminology, either on your end or mine. If this is the picture that you're referring to, I'd say that the top blade has a clip point and the bottom three blades have drop points.

The Battle Heart also has the clip point and is one of my dream blades.

That style of point seems to be less favored, or at least less common by the Busse's. This style was used almost exclusively by Swamp Rat a few years ago with the Camp Tramp, Ratweiler, etc, but they ultimately went for the drop point style.

This style of point is by far my favorite.

Hope this helps. :D

My bad. If that is what a clip point is, then I just learned something! The lower photo is exactly what I'm talking about, but with a inch or two more blade length. What's the official designation for the top one in 4 knife photo? "SHBM variant"?

I'm looking for something like this (from Dr. Lunde's page) with a straight handle:
