Hello Friends,
Here attached images of this big fighter that I just finished.
Damascus steel 5160 and 15n20 pattern w ladder
12,8" Blade / 18.5" Overall
Stag horn handle
Blued steel guard
Frame handle blued steel.

Another masterpiece. Love everything about this knife especially the dark stag and black guard. Great leather work to complement this wonderful piece
 
to my eye, the guard looks a little delicate. If it were twice as wide at the ricasso and tapering toward the end of the quillion, in profile, it would compliment the massive badassery of the blade and handle in a way that it doesn't quite seem to do here, in my opinion. The guard feels a little outgunned.

that being said...the shaping and general layout of the guard, and the lustrous blackness of it really works with the filework and ties the blade to the handle really nicely, with a couple shiny points along the way that keep your eye moving.

Sometimes when I look at a knife it's almost as if my eyes are deflected from it. Any knife that I look at which draws my eye in, and keeps it busy for awhile, is what I deem to be a good knife. Despite the critique I just laid on ya, this knife keeps my interest and I feel that it's a really special piece- which just goes to show that making rules and having opinions really is pointless at times :)
 
The only thing wrong with that knife is that it is not mine :)
