I just came inside after working on this all day. This is a custom order. The blade is 10" 5160 differentially tempered. The handle is stacked leather which was a pain to do but it's what the customer wanted. I'd like to your opinions on this piece. Thanks.

I like it, it's understated, elegant, very much "less is more" in my opinion, i like the stacked handle, looks good and comfortable:thumbup:

Barabas and I have the same taste. I don't care for the pommel either. It just looks like something that was over looked at first glance. If it was even top and bottom like the guard and and maybe a bit smaller althought you do need something there because the handle is so straight with no swell.

I like it, but it looks too square in places. I've liked your stuff from your beginning here, but it needs to flow a little better. I don't doubt it's a solid well-built piece.

Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate them all. The pommel was the customer's request. He even wanted finger grooves on the handle but I talked him out of it. I'm not sure it can even be done with leather. Overall, I like the way the knife turned out. Even with that pommel. I wish I could have taken better pics though.

Redsnake,
Stacked leather is like pieces of leather shaped like washers stacked together to form the handle. Make sense?
