Hello-

New here, just figuring things out.

Well, after a lot of trying, I'm wore out...
FINALLY figured out how to post pictures.

First they're too little, then too big.

But I got a box of pocket knives, and I want to show off some pictures, and try to learn about 'em, so I kept at it- :o

I think this one's pretty old, but not sure.

Anyone know anything about it?

Handle feels synthetic...

That's a beauty- surprisingly little wear, though it looks like it's been used. I'm not one who can tell you how old it is. I f nobody turns up here with specifics you can try the kabar sub-forum.

cool knife, looks like the 1 i have. they handles are some sort of old poly-plastic, but they are very durable. My grandfather carried this same knife for years & ive seem family fishing pics with him using it. oldest 1 i found was from the 80's but i feel its older than that

hope it helps

Thanks for the reply-

I'd guess someone skinned a deer or 2 with it, and then put a razor sharp edge back on it with a honing stone.

The blade has the mirror finish scratched a little bit, but in some spots it's like new.

I'll have to take a look at that kabar sub-forum you mentioned-

Oh, we can fix that...

Off to the land of KaBar we go.

By the stamping on the blade it appears your knife is from the early 1950s. It looks like it is in nice condition.
