Stripped it. Did some other mods. Ended up going down to 320grit wet/dry. ALso sanded the handle a bit too to take off the sheen. Then i sharpened the swedge.. yes.. i sharpened the swedge. Now before you get all "Thatll ruin a baton and it serves no purpose" on me, let me say that this can save your primary edge if you want to hack at some nasty hard stuffs (bones, etc). THis is a crappy cell pic but ill be posting more later. I stripped it mechanically...not chemically.

I believe ill also be stippling the handles. This really brings out the character of this beast and i have fallen in love w/ it all over again.

This pic is before the wet/dry sandpaper/ car wax treatment.

WOW, that looks great. I love the look of shiny metal blades. You done a good job, but are you going to go for the buffed, high shine look, or just some beat up BK9?

Thanks for posting, good looking knife.

Thanks Moose. I'm not gonna do a high shine, but am going to further buff out any remnant scratches left by the wet/dry sandpaper. Ill probably use a muslin wheel w/ white or red rouge.

Thanks Blade1981. I love the bk9 and the 2 as well. I just need to get another 2... i've had 2 of them. They both seemed to not be able to stay in the stable. First was a trade for something i probably shouldnt have traded for....the second BK2 went to a new home for a BK7...Now i need to get another one. 3rd time's a charm right? :o
