I don't post in here to often, but there has been a couple threads going around about Big knives. Well, I just finished up this little feller this morning after many days and many hours and throught I would see if it ranks up there in the big knife catagory.

OAL 18 1/2" w/12 3/4" blade, the blade is from 2 damascus billets, the inside pattern is a radialed w pattern, with a w pattern welded around the entire exterior. It has a 5" dull clip and the thickness is a shade over 1/4" at the ricasso with a full distal taper.Balance point is 3/4" in front of the guard and it weights in at 1 lb. 7 oz.
guard, spacers, pins and pommel are nickel/silver, black ebony spacers and ironwood handle. I performed a few tests with it, one was to chop an oak 2x4 in half, and let me tell you this baby loves to eat wood.
By the way the hunter below it has a 4" blade and an OAL of 9" just to give a better idea of the size.

Thanks,
Bill

That steel is beautiful. You are getting very good at making pattern welded steel.

That is definitely a big knife, but it looks quick. Nicely done.
