BIG Kershaw, the Outcast

[borrowed time]

picked up a new Outcast over Christmas after oggling it for a year or so. looks to be a good chopper and tough as nails, or a file since its D2 steel.

i'm interested if there are other owners here and their opinions of this knife on steriods. one question i have is does the black blade coating remain on under use, ie, splitting and chopping wood? Thanks - Eric

They cut like Kentucky stink , sadly most blade coatings dont seem to last in heavy use , mine is showing some wear .
