Well, it's a start, anyway.
At least the pictures are there.

Dennis,

Could you please give some details on the new Shadow. Was just on the Reeve's website and don't remember seeing this model. Thanks.

Must have......growing faint....colors are fading.......heart pounding.....starting to sweat....

When will these be available

My understanding is that they are a limited run and won't be featured in the catalog at this time. I was lucky enough to find out about them early enough to get a few on order.

The new ones are almost identical to the old South African models. About the only difference that I could see is the grind line on the false edge is a bit higher than the earlier one. Balance and feel of the two are the same to my hand.

I am partial to the longer bladed knives so these are of particular interest to me. I like them very much.

I don't know what Chris is charging for them at his retail. You will have to call them to find that out, I don't have that information.

Dennis,

You are advertising again.

You said: "It is a well known fact that I am a major Chris Reeve dealer and that I maintain one of the best inventories of his products around. "

Yet you say: "I don't know what Chris is charging for them at his retail. You will have to call them to find that out, I don't have that information."
Come on, are you charging more than his retail?

Rick,

I have nothing against you personally, but I'm getting a little tired of you spamming any CRK post by Dennis. Buy your knives where you will, but PLEASE try to stick to the topic!!! Email him, or Spark, or Anne if you have a problem with his posts. Let's return to the topic of the great knives we all come to the CRK part of this forum to share about...

My $.02 worth...

Thanks,
Michael

Michael, you are right. I will not respond any more to these threads. I am sorry for getting so mad.

Chris Reeve has them for sale on his retail site. I honestly don't know what it is, since I haven't looked. Bridget told me that they were there so if someone wants one, I suggest that as the place to look.

They aren't listed in the brochure so I guess, whatever Chris is asking is "retail".

As for advertizing, I am letting folks know that they are available. If I have them, I'm sure other dealers do too. I know Chris does. Check with them.

As for my price, it doesn't matter, as I am not selling them through BFC.

They are nice knives, though. I may just keep one for myself as a mate to my South African one.

I got one coming my way next week

! Can't wait! This will be my first CRK fixed blade. I have handled a Project 1 and simply thought it was awesome. I understand that these are not so much as a limited production knife, but CRK simply makes a small run of them every now and then.

The knife on top is a Project 1. (I ordered some without serrations.) The center knife is the current shadow 1, the bottom one is a South African SH1, S/N 90. The only real difference in the two SH1s is in the grind lines at the swedge.

I don't know the weight. Blade length is 9 1/2" balance is forward, slightly blade-heavy but not excessive, to my hand. Well suited for chopping. The handle is the same size as the projects. No serrations.

Except for the handles, relative size is as the P1 is to the Shadow 4. That is, the SH1 next to the P1 looks like the P1 next to the SH4.
