I just made this large messenger type bag I made from 95% recycled materials.I made my own pattern and did all the sewing by hand.In total the bag must of cost something two dollars to make.Yes my fingers are hurting..

Most of the leather came from a old foot stool I think it is calf skin.I straps are cow hide from the bike repair shop and buckle is recycled also.

I look inside as you can see plenty of room for a day trip down the local woods.I really wanted to do a big bag like this for a long time but the costs involved put me off.The great thing is this cost next to nothing to make but time spent sewn, well a lot of hours,,!!..

great job mate! I've always wanted to do a bit of leatherwork, but never have the time. (or the skill.)

Cool -looking and very creative with the recycled materials:thumbup:
I noticed the flap didn't need fasteners, maybe.

That is really good work my freind! I bet that would be just the ticket for an afternoon of brush-busting.

Nice looking bag! It feels pretty good to be able to complete and use something you put so much effort into, doesn't it? :D
