Hi Folks well I am just finishing up with this knife it's 15" OAL blade is 9-3/4 it is light and thin I am still working out the bugs on fitting the wood on this style of knife. there is 7 hidden indexing pins in the handle and one bronze bass through I drilled it for 3 but in the end I could not bring myself to put all those holes in such nice wood. I would love to know your thoughts on this. dch1.jpgdch2.jpgdch3.jpgdch4.jpgdch5.jpg

Dave, one of the nicest kitchen knives I've seen on here. That damascus is AMAZING! I agree with you about just one pin. Looks great as is. Thanks for posting that up.

Impressive kitchen knife.

Beautiful damascus!

kind regards,

Jos

Dave that is one I would be proud to have in the kitchen.
Love the Damascus - it is stunning!

Thank you all I keep going back to this kitchen knife thing the first few where pretty rough but I keep talking with guys gathering info Bill B said go thinner Mike R took some time to explain the shape's and why and how they work and Bob K told me to test them and I did . My hat is off to anyone that can make a good kitchen knife and I am lucky to call some of the best at it my friends.

I love it Dave. Mim no kitchen expert, but I'd sure love to put one like that to the test... Beautiful piece.

one pin is perfect more would not look right
you are a mad steel magician riding the cold moon over a hot forge

Mike it is full tang I found this pic its a bit out of focus but you can see the tang has a little taper to it and wood is just a tiny bit proud I am going to let it sit for a few weeks then hit it with some steel wool dc1.jpg
