I thought you guys might get a chuckle out of this. I was shipping out some knives a week ago and mixed up two of them and sent them to the wrong people. I dont think anyone is mad but the twoknives are very different and at least one of them was suposed to be a Xmas gift. F@$k now I have to straiten this all out. I feel like such a idiot!

You are not alone. I've come close to that. I did ship one that was not even sharpened and caught it at the Post Office before it was picked up. Sharpened it and got back down to the P.O. and sent it on it's way. I'm getting better and check my order form before I ship[/I]

It happens more than you would think.
Yesterday, one of the sales ladies wrapped up a customers $3000 purchase, put it into a lovely gift bag, and sent him off smiling - Shopping done!
About 15 minutes later I was doing something and commented that someone had left a diamond bracelet in the ultrasonic cleaner. She turned white. Seems she put it in the cleaner and went to cut the paper for the box. Got distracted by a phone call and came back and wrapped the empty box ( we were swamped with customers). We luckily dealt with the whole family, and called the son to get hold of his dad. He brought it back and we re-wrapped the box ,with the bracelet in it this time. He was a good sport, but it could have been a disaster.
I have heard a version of this story from almost every jeweler I know.

Yep Stacy you are right, it can happen, especially around the holidays when Jewelers are working 20hrs a day. I have made a couple shipping errors in my years too.
