i'm having quite a problem here... i want to have a three knives on me at all times,i would prefer two small fixed blades and a folder...one of the fixed blades being a neck knife. now the problem is i can't figure out a good combo. because once i find one i see other new knives and change my mind about it...(has this happened to anyone else???) it would be most helpful if anyone can help me out. thanks...lonewolfblood

I have found the perfect combo for you (and all for under a grand!).
Here's the fixed blade belt knife:

The neck knife:

And the folder:

And they all match

Seriously, it might help to describe what your planned uses are for the knives.

And yes, no knife nut's idea of the perfect knife, sheath, carry combo, etc. stays the same (but I bet if you got those three above, your eyes wouldn't wander for awhile!).

I think we need to know how you dress -- jeans, suits, cross, whatever. And boots/shoes.

At times I have had a knife in each of my FOUR blue jean pockets and a neck knife (BM AFCK in my case). With a fixed blade in each boot and on the belt, I'd be all set

For the fixed blade, I'd suggest a Geno Denning for a really nice mid-sized belt sheath knife. A 154CM Talon would be a good choice as well. There's always the possibility of a Dozier for your belt as well as offerings from any of a large number of custom makers in the 3 to 5 inch range.

For a neck knife, I have found a BM AFCK (full-size) in a Mike Sastre sheath hard to beat (whole rig was cheap too). Neck knives are hot right now. The DDR Arc-lite, new Brend, and the Carson F4's are just a few of the possibilities.

Stay Sharp,
Sid

What size folder?

Neck knife: talk to Mike Cooper (L6STEEL, here on BFC). $50 will get you a great neck knife.

Fixed-blade: any number of custom makers have good small blades for a decent price, or the 154CM Camillus Talon is an absolute steal at $100. I got to play with one a while back, and have found it to be one of the very best small fixed blades in production today. The change from Talonite ($250) to 154CM ($100) is a great idea, IMHO.

Without knowing what size folder you're looking for, I'll throw out a suggestion: get a Benchmade Axis lock knife. They are fully ambidextrous, so you can switch them from side-to-side whenever you feel like it. Also, I beat the h*ll out of mine, and they just take it in stride and beg for more.

My favorite:

Neck knife: Handiman by RJ Martin (150.00) or Little Pup by Running Dog (50.00?)

FB: Talon by Camillus (205.00 talonite or 100.00 steel)

Folder: BM 710 (95.00) or TNT by Tom Mayo (400.00)

i know what you mean! the search for the perfect combo is almost endless, it would seem.i would recommend trying the new mini talon by camillus for a neck knife. i have also been quite satisfied as of late with the combo of a tom mayo small tnt, and a boguszewski/wegner pro hunter in cpm440v.

imho, i'd go with either the tnt or sebenza as one of your choices.
i used to carry 5 or 6 blades all the time, at least 2 being fixed, i found that my current combo replaces most of the others with ease.

good luck with your quest
