Big S-guard Bowie

Here is one I just completed for a client. Its a big one. Blade length is 9 3/4", width is 1 1/2" and total length is 15 3/4". All Damascus fittings with the blade being San Mia of 1095 and Damascus is 1095 and nickel. Sambar stag.I have a bunch of hours in this one but it was fun to build. Hope you approve.

I saw this knife while it was a WIP. The San Mia lines are centered on all damascus pieces: blade, guard, ferrule and pommel. Congratulations on a beautiful piece of art and functional tool.

VERY nice indeed! Nice stand, but I think it would be even nicer if instead of brass, a piece of stag was used for the post.

Thanks folks. Great stag like this deserves the 47 hours I put into this knife. I had not built one like this for a while and was pleased when I had an order and the client said make me a Bowie. I asked what kind and he said do your thing. I promise I do better work when they say just do it. I spend more time. I bet all makers are like that. Maybe its just that freedom thing.
