big scare today

got out of work early,stopped to get some gas and noticed my new strider pt wasnt hooked to my pocket-
man all kinds of bad thoughts raced thru my mind about were i might have dropped it-

figured if anyone on the job sight found it -i would never see it again-

got home all bummed out,thru my wallet on the dresser and what do i see but a strider pt -

first time in a long time i didnt have a knife in my pocket

That must have been a relief! Glad I'm not the only one who panics if my knife isn't where it's supposed to be. I did lose my first sebenza to a combo of stupidity and bad fashion, though, so I do have reason to be overly paranoid.

I lost three Case knives in a row while in college. I"ve a German Eye knife that if lost would create sorrow and panic.

Another reason to carry a fixed blade, the only time you panic is if your sheath is empty!!!!
So far that has never happened to me but I'm knocking wood too!!!!:thumbup:

While swimming in Donner Lake. Still kicking myself over that one. I foolishly thought that the belt clip seemed a pretty secure way to secure it to my shorts. Dumb Ass!

I had a knife clipped to my pocket and did a sauna - cold lake swim - cycle 4 times. The knife survived, but I couldn't believe I was that daft to not realise. On the same holiday I lost a full bottle of cat shampoo in the lake out of my shorts pocket (long story)

Oh that feeling of relief. Did the same recently with my favorite pocket flashlight, the FFIII.
