Big semi skinner slipjoint with armadillo scales
Some time ago I posted several blades for balis and slipjoints I had been making... This is the last slippie from that series.

Armadillo Scales "Dino" Semi Skinner Slipjoint
4 1/2" handrubbed N678 (SS) 1/8" thickness. Overall length 10"
Stainless steel liners. Polished nickel silver bolsters with simil armadillo scales work. Laquered armadillo shell scales with red fiber spacers. Red G-10 backspacer. Fileworked bronze screws and nickel silver pins. Serrated thumb and index rests.

I would never have thought to use armadillo shell to make scales. I guess I've shot too many of them to think they are worth anything.
 
Keith, drducati is right, I mean that I continued the pattern of the armadillo scales, mimicking those into the bolster :)
