Today I received the Sifu that I had "traded-for" a FEW days ago. (Stonewashed ATS-34 steel, G-10 scales, full finger-grooves.).

I LOVE this knife! It is as sharp as a razor, locks-up VERY tightly, with NO "blade-play" at all, and looks "mean".

This one is a "KEEPER"!.

(Dang, eventho' this is my 1st REKAT knife, I think I'm now hooked, so I guess I'll be trading-off some of my Cold Steel blades to get more REKATS!!!).

glockman99 & EXECUTION STYLE,
Well..I'd say we have two more confirmed cases of REKATitus! Have you guys had a chance to handle a Carnivour or Carnie Cub yet? Both have great ergonomics in a bomb-proof folder. I really like the Pikuni also, one of the best small fixed blades out there. Great design, great steel, and a kickass RiverCity Concealex sheath...all for under a $100. Now if the Wakatan ever makes it to market I'd be a real happy camper!
Regards,
Clyde

I got my first REKAT when I won a pre-production Carnivour in the April, 1999 BF giveaway. I was hooked when the Sifu came out, it was so damned politically incorrect that I had to have one, so I bought one of the very earliest, and now I have a Carnie Cub. I love them all.

Yup, now I'm REALLY hooked! I have a "black-blade" Pioneer II (clip-point), AND a Carnivore Cub "on the way"...Both are the result of trades here at BladeForums!

I know what you guys mean! I really love both of my Red/Black Bladeforums Carnivores(#15 and #18), Carny Cub and both both the remaining Pioneers. In fact I have a Pocket Hobbit and a Green handled Carny Cub on the way. I'm hoping to add a Sifu soon.

It is tough to stop at only one.

Easyrider,

Do whatever you have to do, in order to get yourself a Sifu, even if it means selling your house, wife, or first-born!.

Glockman's right. If you like rekats, get a sifu. NOW! Run, don't walk! But seriously...It's definitely their flagship folder. The thing is so big for a folder, it's just funny looking sometimes!

I know guys, and Mike has the fingerless Sifus on sale to make things more difficult. I have been wanting a green handle Sifu from the first run. I came close to one but it seems another guy got there before me. The only upside is that he needs a few days to scrape the coin together. Maybe the deal will fall apart so I can jump on it. Now the question is do I wait and hope? Do I grab one of the fingerless Sifus? Or do I post in the Knives wanted to buy forum for a green Sifu? What do you all think?
BTW a red handled one would go nicely with my red Carnivores, I could live with that just a easily.

Easyrider,

I'd post in the "Knives Wanted" forum. No telling just what someone might come-up with for sale at a good price.

Also, I would suggest the Sifu with the full five finger-grooves, as mine really feels secure in MY hand. (But then, I haven't had a chance to handle one of the single-grooved Sifu as of yet.).

I have a post in the "Knives For Sale/Trade" forum right now, looking to trade a couple more of my Cold Steel knives for a REKAT fixed-blade Warrior (either a Gijan or Hobbit).

i have handled both the sifus and personally prefer the smooth handle, mine is #24, but then again, thats just me - have big long thick fingers, and the grooves just didnt fit my hand well - not bad enough that if ya couldnt get a smooth handle i would pass on the SIFU by the way, but given the choice prefer the smooth - prefer smooth grips on pistols also, for whatever thats worth lol....but for sure get a SIFU, the BEST DAMN TACTICAL KNIFE AROUND IMNSHO!!!!i promise ya wont be disappointed when ya open up that box, or actually tube.
