Just wondering if anyone could give me any insight into how engravable a Benchmade Big Spender would be. I'm getting married in April and I thought this would make an ideal gift to my best man and other gentlemen in my wedding party. Also to those who own one, whats your opinion of this knife? If you don't think this would be a good choice can you suggest something else. I have also been considering the Spyderco Spydercard. Thanks in advance for any help! :D

Nice little knife. What a great idea for wedding party presents.

I would think the stainless handles would be relatively easy to engrave.

I also have a Spydercard, which is another useful little tool, and in fact Spyderco advertises "It's pancake flat with rounded edges offering enough surface area for engraving and other customization" (from Spyderco's website).

The handles are 410 stainless steel. Should be smooth sailing for an engraver who's worth his salt and can engrave on hardened, heat-treated steel. I recently had an ATS34 blade engraved through a jewelry store, and ATS34 is considerably harder.

Professor.
