The bragging conversation stops when these bad boys come out. There is something so completely sinister about all of them. I understand they are light to handle as well. Thanks for the great views. :)

Wow Doc, I wish I had that many of my knives right now. That's quite a collection! You're right on the Millennium Bowie, but that's not really a Massive Retribution. It's a one of a kind I did that is ground more like my bolo blades. Compared with the Massive Retribution, this one has a somewhat wider top grind and the top is more rounded at the front whereas the Retribution has more of a clipped front end. That Duelist is also one of a kind; it's the only swedge I ever ground that way.

Thanks for the memories...

:rolleyes: So is the so-called (misnamed) Massive Retribution a Bolo or what the heck I am supposed to call it ???:rolleyes:

p.s. Jerry, my collection would be empty, if it was not for your
visions and craftsmanship :)

Thanks Doc; you're very kind.

As for the name, I guess that answer is pretty simple. It's your knife; you can call it whatever you like. Maybe, "Another One of Hossom's Cockamammie Knife Designs"? It's definitely in the Retribution family though by virtue of the handle design and general shape. I'd guess that Retribution Bolo might be appropriate, but its your call.

Massive Retri-Bolo it is then!

I get most of my phenolic based handle materials from Sheffield. It's their house brand. I generally use canvas based material on larger blades for a better grip. The only exceptions on what I buy are the paper-based materials. Only Westinghouse maked decent ivory or black paper Micarta IMO. The rest are somewhat porous.

Prolific, AC, prolific!

What a collection of excellent steel! And Jerry's one nice fellow.

Jerry
You've got the coolest looking handles around.Hopefully I'll get to handle one of them someday. It wasn't till I'd looked through your website that I decided to try getting micarta in 1/4 stock rather than 1/8". I'm glad I did.
