Friday was a long day at the end of a long week. Came home to find an Eskabar came in the mail from the man himself. Good start to the weekend. Really nice little knife, owning an 11, was not sure that I needed a 14. Realize that was an error - this is a nice knife. Really like the little extra handle for carving. Gave it a quick cord wrap and figured I would post a pic of some neckers: BK11 w/ old sheath, BK14 with new sheath and a BHK small tiger knapp just for kicks.

Thanks again to Ethan for the Feb contest and the new knife!

Eskabar II would be interesting, little longer handle
Eskabar III ? Longer handle, bigger blade ... nice "tweener" (just thinking outloud)

Thanks again Ethan.

Sheath is good. Just need to make a pocket clip. I don't like knives near my neck

How do you like the new sheath?

I like the new sheath, but did not really have complaints about the old. I do not think the new has any better retention, as both still index off the tip of the choil for retention. However, it does have less rattle due to the blade shape matching the sheath.

If I had to pick between the two, I like the new sheath better. But I would not spend $15-20 to replace one of the old ones with the new one. Not enough functional gain.

Nice!
If you throw a little bit of that cohesive tape i mentioned on there it will keep it from sliding around.
