I sent two of my favourite 124s to Joe houser hoping he could do a little spa job on them they both had some small dings on the guards and pommel.

Here they both are. Joe also advised that he could get the small marks out of the micarta but it may lighten the colour of the handle. So I passed on that.

Im made up of how much better they look. They truly are at the top of my collection

Those are beautiful!

I see we have very similar tastes in handles.

Very very very nice. I'm going to have to get a 124 in my hands one day along with a whole list of other knives.

Steve,

Wow! That is an excellent job. They look practically new. I bet they look even better in person. What is that yellow/orange handle? I can't wait to get the 110's I sent several weeks ago. Should be about time I'm guessing.

Evan thanks for the comments.

Ky you would not look back if you bought one !

Michael the yellow handle is micarta. Some people says its white micarta turned yellow with age, some say its yellow out of factory..

Well regardless of how it got that way, it is gorgeous. Looks like I haven't begun to see all the goodies you have stashed away.:) 3 liner's at that!

wow ... once upon a time I had a pair jest like that ...
needed some money for 110's and sold them ...
like as not would do so again but gee I do miss them ...
I have a few like a KHammer and one of the one of 22 from 5 years ago
that I think of selling now and then .. jest not needed the money that bad yet!

Joe is a top-notch guy, for sure! He and Danny have done a few, for fortunate me, just as they have done for you :) Let me remember correctly.......... White micarta, black pakkawood, solid rosewood, maroon 106 axe..... I suppose I won't bore you with the complete listing but thank the Lord for the men @ Buck Knives Inc. who never let their past grow obsolete!

Hey Joe!
Shoot me an email as I took my 651 Pigsticker out of the pack and found the plastic liner has cracked and decayed from the sheath. Any plastic liners about or any 651 sheaths available for purchase? The 651 is a brute and has seen some serious use, but holding up very nicely. Maybe some ivory micarta scales and standard guard/pommel with the new sheath? Oh, dare to dream on my part, eh?
Had to ask.............:o
BTW...............all 106s still in my possession and loving 'em!

Dave
