You guy's that had read my new york show post know I was on a mission to get a piece of stag for my new Helle's Belle. Well I found some great piece's at the show but Bill called me today and said althought they looked great he thought we could do better in the feel department he thought they favored a more left hand grip and I am a righty. he is all about the feel and who am I to argue. Well I was kinda in a bind he starts forgeing the blade tomorrow and wanted the handle material quickly. So Kevin to the rescue he offered me this great piece which is almost perfectly straight side to side and I think it will work out fantastic. Plus it is a great looking piece. Bill will be able to kick it out to accomadate a slight right hand favored grip. Kevin was not asked if he had any stag he just offered it and I greatly apreciate his kindness. Thanks again Buddy this is what Knife collecting and The CKCA is all about dealing with good people with a passion for knives and helping people out. When I get the other stag back from Bill if anyone needs some I would be glad to help out.

That's awesome Joe and Kevin. I've been the lucky recipient of other's generosity in here, and look forward to paying it forward again:thumbup:.

Very nicely done Kevin! Congrats JP, that sure looks like a great handle for your Belle!

So.....does that mean that you won't be using the top piece from the previous thread?:D That is a nice looking piece of stag that Kevin gave you. Now we know where all of the good stuff is.......squirreled away in Missouri, Virginia and New York!!!!

Joe if Bagwell does not want it it's all yours. I am gonna owe you money for a knife soon anyway:D aren't I

JParanee, Bagwell is a legend...good pick. My first custom knife was ( I still have it ) a little Bagwell hunter. Bill traded it for some sporting goods at H and H Sporting goods in Texarkana, Texas.

Back to the thread: Kevin, good on ya!

edited to stay on subject.

Kudos to you, Kevin.
Fine looking chocolate stag, Joe.
Good things here.

Doug

Stag doesn't get any better than that! Noble gesture Kevin, and hope to see that when it is on a Bagwell JP.

Peter

Thanks for the kind words.

I love to hunt for good ivory and stag at the BLADE Show. I'm like a kid in a candy store.

Been saving that piece for quite a while for a special project. Well can't think of a more special project than helping a buddy out and having a piece of my stag on a Bagwell Helle's Belle.

Hey Joe, good to see you again at the show. At the next one I'm going to conceal my biggest bowie and we can have a "presentation" contest... = )

Good man, Kevin. We all have our little spats on here but this type of good will really shows why this is such a tight knit community. <Sorry for the cross thread reference... = )>
