Big thanks to Kris
For those who don't know, I received a email from Kris Sunday morning stating I was the winner of his " A Hobo and his pants " giveaway.
Well today the package arrived and it was a treasure trove of goodies.
A nice hand written note, of which I have a box of from forum members, they remind me of all the good folks here.
Some great Yuengling treats, a lucky penny and a bottle opener, for those who don't know Yuengling is America's Oldest Brewery, unfortunately for me to get it I need to drive to Connecticut hop a ferry and go to Long Island Ny, or keep driving till I get just over the border to New York. When I sold beer it was the most requested and we could never acquire it for sale in Ma.? I have a friend that makes the trip to pickup ten cases at a time.
Next a very cool little box ( looks almost Birdseye maple, not sure, a little dark ) which contained a cool Case pin " Making A Case For America "
A cool Case handout with personal stories about owners of Case knives.
A Allen Dodge belt sheath, love Al's work I've bought for myself and gifted a few of his sheaths
And the main prize a behemoth of a knife the Case Hobo, it's very well made and designed for it's intended purpose,
Next to peanut for size
if I were traveling cross country again it would accompany me, as I cooked many meals for people along the way that gave me a place to lay my head, and this would be perfect. It will come with me camping and on hikes, it is also going to be with me when I go on picnics by the ocean and lakes with my daughter no matter what she is eating these days ( not quite two yet ) she has to have a fork
Big thanks to Kris for a generous and very thoughtful giveaway
Thanks,
Pete
