Big thanks to Kris
For those who don't know, I received a email from Kris Sunday morning stating I was the winner of his " A Hobo and his pants " giveaway.
Well today the package arrived and it was a treasure trove of goodies.

A nice hand written note, of which I have a box of from forum members, they remind me of all the good folks here.

Some great Yuengling treats, a lucky penny and a bottle opener, for those who don't know Yuengling is America's Oldest Brewery, unfortunately for me to get it I need to drive to Connecticut hop a ferry and go to Long Island Ny, or keep driving till I get just over the border to New York. When I sold beer it was the most requested and we could never acquire it for sale in Ma.? I have a friend that makes the trip to pickup ten cases at a time.

Next a very cool little box ( looks almost Birdseye maple, not sure, a little dark ) which contained a cool Case pin " Making A Case For America "

if I were traveling cross country again it would accompany me, as I cooked many meals for people along the way that gave me a place to lay my head, and this would be perfect. It will come with me camping and on hikes, it is also going to be with me when I go on picnics by the ocean and lakes with my daughter no matter what she is eating these days ( not quite two yet ) she has to have a fork :-)

Big thanks to Kris for a generous and very thoughtful giveaway

Thanks,
Pete

Great stuff Kris. I'm sure you and your girl are going to give the Hobo plenty of use Pete

Wow. That hobo is bigger than I expected!

Me too. I don't think that's Pete's hand holding the fork though Woodrow! ;)

It is for extra purchase so you don't drop your spoon as your fingers are freezing while holding a can of beans. It gets cold and a huge handle helps hold on. ;)

Great kit and very generous, congratulations on the new toys!

Congrats on winning that one Pete, the in hand pic is priceless! Thanks for sharing:thumbup:

Well done Kris! :thumbup::thumbup:

Awesome! Congrats Pete, may the Hobo serve you well. My boys take theirs on our camping trips and always get comments on them from the other guys. And IIRC, Case makes that clip super sharp, I opened my finger up good when I borrowed my older son's amber bone Hobo for a scoutmaster training course weekend :D

Thanks again for a cool GA Kris

Cheers,
Griff

Thanks everyone, I am glad it made it safe and will get some honest work. The box is Thuya burl from Morocco .

Kris

That's a very memorable gift. It looks like a genuine act of kindness. Very well thought out. Those Case Hobos, are cool, and quite unique. I've seen a plethora of knockoffs, but nobody ever has a Case Hobo.

Just like the knives he posts pictures of.... very classy.

Well said, thanks again Kris, it is a quality and interesting knife, the blade is substantial and reminds me a little if my Laguiole blade, which is very handy for food prep, there is also a added bonus the sheath fits my 5 blade Moore Maker very well.

That´s just great. You got some great items, Pete. The Hobo is really cool looking - I´m sure your daughter will be a proud owner of the knife / multitool.

Well done, Kris :)
