Thank you everyone who contributes to these forums. I sure learned a wealth of information on these great knives especially the ones I own. My collection is growing and I am partial to the large lockbacks as I got my first LB8 when I was fifteen. Now I have another LB8, a 7OT and an LB7 which I gave to dad since I lost his Buck 110 years ago. Schrade made a much better knife. One other thing before I sign off. Did any of the signature UH LB8 knives have serial numbers? I noticed an Lb7 serial number post but what about LB8's. The LB7 seems to be most popular.

the LB 8's do indeed have serial numbers. not sure if they went as far with the numbering as the LB 7's but i have two which have numbers, 89075 with box and papers and 74644 with sheath only. one thing i just noticed all of my LB 8's have three pins only while the LB 7's went from 4 pin to 3 pin in their evolution. was wondering what other knives carried serial numbers? i know the 153UH did what others?
