Good day out today drinking coffee and playing with my Tracker. The ugly beast works well for me and I love taking it out in the woods.

Lots of nature happening

Great Photos and Cool Cutlery

Looks like a Great way to spend an afternoon

Thanks for sharing

You take beautiful pics!
And that tracke sure isn't ugly in my eyes :D
What's that titanium stove you're using?
It seems to have a large fuel feeding opening, I like the look of it.
How do you like it? It looks well used so it must be nice ;)

The stove is a Tato Gear Element Stove Ti. Nice little folding stove, I use it a lot that's for sure. Thanks!

That knife is ugly, but seems to work for you. ;) The big difference between your Ohio woods and the woods in the Southeast is undergrowth (until the timber is well matured). I think the mention above about Oregon woods makes me more aware that what works for one area and person may not be the best in another. I consider most of the tools essentially support accessories that make our life easier, perhaps help provide more confidence to the woods person. Our brains are the main survival tool. Like the little twig stove.

Untill I browsed bladeforums for the first time... I had never ever seen wood burning stoves (I mean portable ones like yours). Seem like a cool piece of gear, usefull as well! It definitely beats trying to balance a cup over a few stones over a fire in the ground. I don't know if I will ever have the chance to use one of those here were I live but... I may just try to get a used one on the exchange for kicks.

And yes, the knife is ugly... but as long as you like it and works for you, that's all you need to worry about. Did you chip the edge near the sharpening choil?

That knife is ugly, but seems to work for you. ;)

Yup, but that's how it is supposed to be! That knife isn't for me either, but the pic's show a well used tool. That means lots of practice, fun and memories. Is there anything better?
