Big Ugly?

The latest Blade Magazine has a cover story about large folders, titled Big Uglies. In the inset box on page 25 the following sentence appears:
"Even the title Big Ugly has a strange appeal, as witness Busse Combat Knive's new fixed blade of the same name."

So what is a Busse Big Ugly? Did I miss something?

Not to nit pick but... "Big Ugly" is not a knife.... it's Jerry's nickname. :eek: :eek: :D :p

So did anyone get a copy to see what the rest of the article says? Pics? Anything? I can't get out to get my own copy until the weekend, that is if there is some place around here that has a copy.
 
Got my copy today and thats all it says! :confused:

:eek: :eek: I'll leave this one to Skunk to answer since he was instrumental in developing the design with us over the past 5 1/2 months. . . . . . . .

Here's a hint . It has something to do with skunk hunting and glue!!! That's all I have for right now. . . . Seems that Skunker must've been talking to the press before the release of this puppy!!!!! :eek:

only at busse combat will you have a knife yet to be named and a name for a knife that no one has heard or even seen :rolleyes:
 
That's one of the things that makes being a Busse Combat aficionado much more interesting than if we only folowed those companies who stay inside the box. :D

It still hurts a little that the band of brothers who have been so supportive all these years has to hear about something like this from a magazine. :(
 
Bill: Things like this are a kind of no-win situation. You can work to develop an idea, and sometimes, somehow the word slips out prematurely. Or you can announce a new project at the very beginning and then everyone hounds you with the "when" question and the "two week" jokes.

On a lighter note, did I understand Jerry to say that the "Big Ugly" is named after Skunk? He really isn't all that big. :D
