Greetings All:
I just pulled this design off the paper and made it recently...I named it the Big Woods Utility/Hunter. I don't usually make flat ground hunters with a swedge so I stuck "Utility" in front of the name.
The front of the high-ride sheath was lined with deer skin to protect the knife blade from the snap, ala Paul Long. Speaking of snaps, I recently switched over to Skovish military grade line 24 snaps. I'm really pleased with the quality and finish on this brand - highly recommended.
8 1/4" OAL, 4" BL, .135" mirror finish CPM-154, spine thumb serrations, red liners on a tapered tang, zero ground swedge - a real light in the hand slicer. This one's on its way to an outdoorsman in Portland, Oregon. All comments welcome.
