I haven't been around much lately, I've changed careers and moved my family to a different state. Now that we're finally settled, and our farm is up and running I have started to paruse the forum again. During our move, I sold most every knife I had to help foot some of the bill. I never really thought much of it until I saw Bob post a pic of one of my old knives. I decided to go for a long shot and PM'd Bob, and asked him if he'd be willing sell it back to me. I not only got my knife back, but he refused to take anything for it!!
What a genuinely gracious and giving action. I just wanted to swing in and let everyone know about it:)

Thank you again Bob!

Ryan, nice to have you back buddy, hope everything is falling into place. That's our friend Bob for ya.

Way to go Bob:thumbup:

Ryan, it was my pleasure and as I told you, the natural thing to do. Mark made that knife for you and I remember your postings with it. It was one of your favorites for some time while you were guarding our borders riding the dusty roads. It really belonged with you and it was a pleasure to be the trustee for a while.
Best of luck with your new venture.

Good to see you post here again, Ryan! Glad to hear that life is going well.
Thanks for sharing this story of Bob's generosity; no surprise, but I still get a silly grin on my face whenever I read threads like this.
(And I'm thrilled that I can usually find threads like this almost every day! :D:cool::thumbup:)
Kudos to you, Bob!

Ryan it's great to have you back! As you can see not much has changed! Generous and caring people such as BigBiscuit are ever present here! :)

Thank you for sharing that story. What a kind act from Bob! Would not expect anything less from such a great guy.

Very gracious of you, Bob. This is one of the reasons why I have such great respect for those on the porch.
