Reading all the threads about survival type blades and my search for the one blade does it all has lead me to this. There a new design I have but the larger versions. The one I am holding is for a 5.5" blade and should be an awsome med to large field knife. I also have this design in an 8" version as well. Sorry but the picture is what I did today so the final knife will have to apear later. These are made from 5/32" and 3/16" 0-1 that will be differentally heat treated. I like it and it already feels nice to hold.

One of the 5.5" blades is an order that calls for cocobolo I have in stock. The ones for me will have micarta of some sort. The one pictured in my hand will have burgundy to go with this one.

This one is the Companion version. It is 8" overall. I have been carrying it daily since I made it. Holds a great edge.

that's friggin beautiful!

It cuts like crazy too! I have made 6 of these and they all feel awsome. The high grind really makes a slicer. The smaller blade cuts notches easy and smooth. I have carried it everyday for a month and havent needed to sharpen it yet. I like that ;)
