what has been your biggest, both in cost and sentimentaly(spell?),if stolen that counts to,lost knife.the reson i ask is i lost a wilkinson sword folder many years ago only to find it yesterday, its a inox stainless blade with wilkinson sword in the handle, not great but i carried it a lot and missed it when it was gone.
i carry a small sebenza somtimes, and this find has got me wondering,so biggest loss?

It's funny you mention this. I just found my Spyderco Police ~ 5 min. ago. I lost it yesterday cutting some rope out back rigging a tarp. I made a few cuts and realized when I went for it in my pocket it was gone. This wouldn't have been too bad since I had an idea of the general area I lost it but there is 4" of snow on the ground. :grumpy: After giving up for the evening due to dark I went out today when I got home and looked around. I found it with the blade still out and frozen. It wouldn't close due to the ice but is currently thawing on the counter and will be fine.;)

The biggest loss for me emotionally was my mother's SAK. It was a huntsman model. I had hoped it would turn up when I moved, but it didn't, and I am pretty sure it is gone forever. I miss the knife even more now that my mother has passed away.

I had a microtech Socom Elite Auto and a Benchmade Limited edition AFCK stolen just last year. I really miss my SOCOM.:(

the most emotional was my grandpas knife my grandma gave me in 1974 when he died. I had it three days or so before I lost it in her yard!!

the most costly would've been the 180 dollars worth of two wasps ((plus almost tweny dollars in overnight fedexpress shipping) I sold to someone on the exchange, which they never paid me for.

The most sentimental blade I lost was an older Puma lockback (when they still made good stuff). My dad gave it to me when I was 9 or 10. I don't know where I lost the damn thing - and God knows I looked everywhere because I remember my Dad telling me that this was a really nice knife for a kid my age to have.

Well, that was 30 years ago, and I still don't have the guts to tell my old man that I lost it. :(

Of course I got a lot more (and better) knives since then, but often times I wish I still had that lockback so I could use it in front of my Dad once in a while to show him that I still had it, after all those years.

Spyderco Native.
Perfect folder for me.....
Still gathering cash for a replacment.

I had a solid brass handled balisong that I bought which had an awful design on the handles. I spent MONTHS filing, block sanding and polishing until the design was gone and I had mirror finished the brass...All by hand, no dremels 20 years ago.

I left it on a workbench where I was working at the time(this is about 5 years later, so I got to enjoy it for at least that long), as soon as I realized it wasn't in my pocket, I rushed back to work to get it and it was gone :grumpy: I posted a reward and asked everyone, but nobody would fess up. :(

{sigh} I still miss that knife...and its been gone for about 15 years now.

My Father, who died when I was 12, had a fairly good collection of knives. I still have some but others were given to his friends by my Mother shortly after he died as a way for them to have a keepsake. I don't begrudge their getting the knives but boy would I love to have them now.

A Randall Model 18, the 5.5" version. I don't think it's lost--I just can't find it. If it's really gone, it'll easily qualify as my worst loss.:(

most knives I lose i find but i cant find my AR3.00:eek: I haven't flicked a knife in months!!!

I had a NIB Cold Steel Gunsite folder stolden out of my mailbox a couple years ago. I know it arrived, as the "Delivery Confirmation" showed that it was "delivered", and my mailman said that he DID deliver it. Since then I've had all packages sent to me via "General Delivery" (unless I KNOW that there will be someone home when a package is due to arrive).

This happened 6 years ago:

-Colt AR-15
-Mossberg 500
-Kalashnikov AK-47
-An Old 303 British
-Lever Action 22LR
-Rosi Pump Action 22LR
-About 200 Playstation games
-2 Games Systems

There is allot more, but the more I think about it the more I get bummed. Lets just say allot of my stuff was STOLEN!!!:(

I lost my P14 Enfield bayonet and my favorite Collins machete (both with 17" blades). Should I count the two 5" blade Italian switchblades confiscated by police on seperate occasions. I was pretty happy not to be arrested at the time.

I had some really nice Gerbers and Kershaws stolen by movers back in '87, along with a one-of-a-kind rigging knife with beautiful wild ram scrimshawed scales.

Those guys seemed so nice and friendly and I gave 'em a nice tip. If only I'd known they had already tipped themselves.

two blade trapper, carbon steel blades, bone-like handle. I lost track of it, moved a bunch of times, then found it while cleaning out a spare room at my Mom's. It had rusted to pieces sitting in a box for the better part of ten years. I think I tossed it in despair. Wish I hadn't, it had been in the family a long time.

About 18 years ago I lost a beautiful little Gerber Paul knife with ivory Micarta scales. I really loved that knife. A little while ago I decided to look for a replacement and found out that this has become a bit of a collector knife. It would have cost me four times the price I originally paid for the knife to replace it. I never did. Maybe if the Lone Wolf version is available for a really good price somewhere I will get one of them.
