I am seriously considering buying an XXLT (for damn near 500.00) and am wondering- Is there any way anybody would know how 2 make an XXLT even BIGGER than it is now ? Can the victorinox's be disassembled by non-factory people? Could I add a SuperTimer type grip panel? Can anyone assemble an XXLT or XXLT+ 4 me for less than 500? Why did victorinox stop adding lighters to any of their SwAK's? DO they stll honor the warranties on them? I know this is rambling a little bit but I've lusted for an XXLT for 3 years and owned one once and this is the first place where I feel I could actually find someone who knows about these things. thanks, Jason

I think you mean 'SAK' as in "swiss army knife" not SwAK.

Try the SOSAK forum over at Knifeforums.com or even www.sosakonline.com I just came across this as someone else here recommended it to me for some of my SAK questions.

Also what do you mean by SuperTimer? Do you mean SuperTinker or Timekeeper?

Back I guess close to fifteen twenty years ago the super timer(supertimer?) was a swiss champ with a clock in the handle. Back then it wass the biggest far as I knew, but the clock made it too big for the standard champ sheath.

I wrote SwAK as in not what they put your groceries in at the store. The Supertimer was a swiss Champ with a Time Keeper style clock handle. Thanks for the suggested website, but it was of little help. I can't find any info anywhere about someone assembling/ disassembling a SAK and I'm further trying to figure out why Vict..x changed their minds about putting lighters on anything and what about warranty lighter work or work of any kind for someone living in a counrtry where the Knife was quite purposefully never marketed. I have lusted after one of these things for so long and may actually be getting close to getting one, so time is....Anyway, thanx!!

The SOSAK forum at Knifeforums.com has tons of info about taking SAK's apart along with many other mods that people have done. Just go over and sign up.
