how big do they have to be to be big? Ive got a bunch of 3.5" knives, but to me its not big unless the cop has to actually measure whether or not Im breaking the law D:

I like a solid 4" of blade if possible. If I'm not worried about pulling it out in a crowd, then it's not big enough.

I've always thought the pocket sword of the folder world was the 6" Cold Steel Ti-Lite. As for fixed blades, my initial thought would be a Busse NMFBM, or Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Battle Mistress. Talk about a large blade.

4 inch blades are normal to me, so when I want to carry an "impressive" blade I go with one of the Cold Steel "Grande" models or, recently, a Rajah II.

When I think "big blade," I think of fixed blades with at least an 8" blade. Anything between that and a 5" blade, I consider a medium sized fixed blade, and anything under that is a small fixed blade. I simply consider folding knives to be pocket knives.

Cold steel makes some pretty gonzo pocket swords.

I own both of these knives- I'm ashamed to admit. They're ridiculously enormous- like clown knives.

The Camillus Cuda Maxx was a freaking huge knife. One that was actually cool. I wish I'd gotten one of those back in the day.

The only problem I have with these is that neither is being made anymore so if that can't be replaced.

My Sifu and 6" Ti Lite are my BIGGEST folders but I have many many in the 4 inch blade range like the mili. I love big pocket knives.

I made these out of Osborne harness awls, they’re Hors d'Oeuvres picks. One is wrapped with sterling wire the other has an ebony handle. Koyote’s knife in the background is a little less than 6 ½”
